Curved steel wall for garden

Presidio Modern Family

A dilapidated courtyard entry was transformed into a warm, welcoming introduction to a Presidio Heights family home through high level finishes, attention to detail and consistency of palette. The complete refresh included exterior cedar siding, travertine stairs and plantings that included lush ferns, Japanese maples and textural shade-loving plants. In the courtyard entry, it's about form and movement through space. The rear garden is a family- and dog-friendly space with a barbecue and synthetic turf with planted joints between pavers. The application of cedar — on the exterior, on fencing — creates cohesion in a project that celebrates the execution of pure design, beautiful materiality and clean composition.
